I needed a cheap pair of golf shoes for spring/fall and these seemed to have most of the features I wanted, so I pulled the trigger. I could see the black tongue and laces online, but in person they're even worse. It's hard to imagine why they didn't use the same material/color for the tongue with gray or white laces. Beyond that, they're very comfortable and have excellent traction on the turf. However, the peg/spike design of the sole makes them a little less stable when walking on concrete and other hard surfaces. In fact, they are positively treacherous on a wet hard surface so watch your step when there's rain or irrigation. On the plus side, they are reasonably water-resistant out of the box.
